During the Puyallup Fair this September 22nd to the 24th, there would be one attraction that car lovers would surely go to. This is the Back the Track weekend event and it has got the Great Western Sports, or the GWS, as one of its sponsors. If you did not know, GWS is a subsidiary of the great International Speedway Corporation. GWS would be working with the ac electric fan motor Western Washington Fair Association for this event.
During the Back the Track weekend, goers and guests would be able to feast their eyes on show cars that have been rounding other auto shows. These cars would be those that come from the national racing series. Included is the #9 Dodge Dealers and UAW Dodge Charger driven by Kasey Kahne and this vehicle has gained its popularity because it has been in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series.
Grant Lynch is the president of GWS and he says, "The Puyallup Fair is a major annual event in Washington, and we are proud to have partnered with such a renowned organization like the Western Washington Fair Association. The weekend gives us the opportunity to showcase some of the most popular vehicles in major motorsports today, including Enumclaw-native Kasey Kahne's #9 UAW/Dodge. We encourage everyone to come visit our GWS information booths to learn more about our project and how you can help bring premier motorsports to the state of Washington."
Speaking of booths, various booths would be found during the fair. That way, people could roam about and in the process learn more about motorsports, the GWS, and other products and events that show off their trade and their wares. It has not yet been confirmed though if there would be booths that would be selling vehicle products like Volvo performance parts in the said show. But there would indeed be booths were interested supporters of various petitions can sign up in favor of it. Prizes would also be given away during the show.
Kent Hojem, the manager for the whole Puyallup Fair, explains, "The Puyallup Fair is known not only for tradition, but for cutting-edge new products and activities. GWS' Back to the Track weekend is an ideal way to educate the community about the proposed motorsports project in Kitsap County."
If you are one of those few who do live to search the world over for unique and one of a kind vehicles, then you might want to take part of this upcoming auction. The 36th annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car event would be held on the 13th of the 21st of January come the following year. From 1953 up until the following year, 1954, the Dodge brand was able to create four of these Firearrow concept cars. Although these vehicles did not actually reach the production stage, they were mostly produced so as to be able to bring up the interest of the consumers. It was Virgil Exner who created the designs of these concept vehicles from Dodge. And according to the organizers of the event, the pair of Dodge Firearrow concept cars is the second and the fourth vehicles that were produced. The first and the third units are no longer around.
Organizers of the 36th Barrett-Jackson event say that for those who do not know what this vehicle is, the Dodge Firearrow II (the second one produced) is a roadster that is colored yellow. And as per the Dodge Firearrow IV (the fourth and last one produced) is a convertible that holds two seats. The latter also has roll up windows, a jump seat, a folding top, a full instrumentation panel and a radio.
Volkswagen has launched a promising new car dubbed as Golf Match. The fresh version of VW Golf is powered by a choice single phase electrical motor of state-of-the-art petrol or diesel engines. The 1.6-litre FSI petrol engine is capable of developing 115 PS, which can be mated to a choice of 6-speed manual or automatic gearboxes. Mazda Australia will showcase its much-admired Kabura concept car in Sydney. The magnificent lineup includes the electric motor for elevator new CX-7 crossover, BT-50 truck range, and Mazda6. These vehicles will astound the crowd of this year's Australian International Motor Show.
"This year's Australian International Motor Show will be very important for Mazda Australia," says Doug Dickson, Mazda Australia's managing director. "Not only will we be able to showcase two new cars, but we are very proud to have the Kabura concept car in the country. Kabura signals Mazda's future design direction and we are very excited with the result."
The Kabura concept features a compact sports vehicle that uses 2.0-litre MZR engine to combine fun and functionality to driving pleasure. It is especially designed to cater to drivers who appreciate dynamic and sport driving without sacrificing comfort and functionality. Kabura concept car is not a traditional car that is the edge of incorporated to it.
"With Mazda6 Diesel on sale in October, the CX-7 on sale in November and the BT-50 range in December, this motor show will provide an excellent forum for us to talk to our customers and introduce these new Zoom-Zoom models," Dickson added.
Kabura, which was introduced at the 2006 North American International Auto Show, shows striking themes and technologies. It is equipped with 3+1 seating arrangement to provide greater passenger comfort without escalating size or weight. Kabura uses powerful Mazda mechanical parts and accessories to boost its overall appeal. It incorporates some of the remarkable Mazda MX-3 parts. Additionally, the concept car also uses rear-drive layout identical to that of Miata.
Mazda CX-7 is the automaker's latest SUV addition. It is said to embrace the 'soul of a sportscar' philosophy of Mazda which means excellent driving dynamics coupled with practical function. It is also equipped with Mazda's Active Torque Split All Wheel Drive system. The latter includes dynamic fuel injection parts Mazda injectors, which are incorporated to Mazda6 MPS.
